PROJECT DIPUTACION I - STRENGTHENING LOCAL CAPACITY FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT IN FIVE RURAL COMMUNITIES OF ACOS DISTRICT

The project sought to improve the health conditions of the indigenous communities in extreme poverty, (with a malnutrition rate higher than 70%) and the integration of women in conditions of equality in the process of community development.

The project of promoting healthy houses and the development of ecological and sustainable farming with measures that prevent the erosion of their land, also it encouraged the promotion and protection of human rights, implementing a communal association network, assisted by Defensoría Municipal, citizen participation was promoted and the incorporation of women in communal and municipal decisions, to coordinate the communal interests with municipal policies.

This project was made possible thanks to funding of the Diputación Foral de Bizkaia and FISC (Social Innovation Foundation of Cultural) support.


GENERAL OBJECTIVE:
Contribute to the integral development in equity of gender of rural indigenous communities of Chacco, Ccarcobamba, Simppi, Mayohuillca and Llapaypampa


SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE:
Strengthen the capacities of men and women for local sustainable development, promoting healthy communities and agricultural development in the indigenous communities of Chacco, Ccarcobamba, Simppi, Mayohuillca, and Llapaypampa with citizen participation and gender equality.

PARTICIPANT POPULATION: 90 people belonging to families of low income within communities as before specified--Chacco, Mayohuillca, Ccarcobamba, Simppi –Corma, and Llapaypampa.
