PROJECT RBC II:Capacity Development for Prevention and Inclusion of People with Disabilities in Rural Communities, Department of Cusco, Peru Andean South Region

The ‘RBC’ project at this stage, was executed by Cáritas Cusco to contribute to the processes of Rehabilitation Based on the Communities (RBC) as a model and strategy of inclusive development for people with disabilities, especially children in the rural communities of Siusa in the San Salvador district in the province of Calca, which is one of the communities most afflicted by extreme poverty.

This project in the phase of rehabilitation was carried out with support from Cáritas Italy.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE:
• To contribute to the community inclusion of people with disabilities (PCD) for the exercise of their fundamental rights to life, education, health, and work through the RBC approach in Cusco communities.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVE:
• To contribute to the basic integral rehabilitation of people with disabilities decreasing their social exclusion in communities in the southern Andean Region of Cusco, Peru.

PARTICIPANT POPULATION: The participating population managed to support a total of 10 people, who rejoined the community activities through the development of capabilities.
