PROJECT OF IMPLEMENTATION OF PAROCHIAL SCHOOL DINING ROOM IN ZURITE - CUSCO

Galería fotográfica del proyecto

The village of Zurite, during the rainfall, in the first few months of 2010, was one of the hardest hit towns.  That same year, they suffered three landslides and an avalanche of mud and rocks that buried almost all of the Plaza de Armas, leaving also 67 destroyed homes and institutions.

During the first days of the events, Cáritas Cusco in coordination with the parish attended the emergency in the area by providing food, water, shelter, toys, among other things to directly assist the affected population.

We believe that the children who had lost their homes were among the worst affected, so we formulate a project for the implementation of a parrochial school dining room in Zurite.

This was possible thanks to funding from ENDESA, and the support of District Municipality of Zurite, as well as the local parish.
