Galería fotográfica del proyecto

Another of the most affected communities for torrential rainfalls the had place in the first trimester of 2010, was Yanamanchi in Lucre.
In our region, in the province of Quispicanchi in the district of Lucre, the rise of the river that crosses the village caused large losses especially in the Yanamanchi community. The most affected were 8 families that lost their houses and another 8 families that lost their farming and cultivation land.

Cáritas Cusco, bearing in mind this situation, implemented a project to provide food for the most unprotected people of the community: the children and elders, as well as to provide tools to Yanamachi's people to begin reconstruction for the damaged structures.
This project was made possible through joint efforts working with the Yanamanchi population, who turned its communal lounge into a dining hall. Cáritas Cusco implemented the dining room with tables, chairs and all kinds of equipment for the preparation and distribution of food, which was made possible by the support of Yanamanchi organized by Cáritas Cusco in shifts of attention that were rotating during the time that the assistance was needed.
