WARMI PHASE II - WOMEN IN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF CCATCA´S COMMUNITIES

Warmi II project is focused on the strengthening of eight indigenous peasant communities' organization in the district of Ccatca , the incorporation of women in the decision-making process and forming new leaders able of foster descentralized and self-managed development process, citizen participation in budgeting and the development of community development plans.

This was made possible with funding from the Basque Government through the Social Innovation Foundation of Culture (FISC). Unlike the Phase I Project with the same name, Warmi Phase II, has included some other activities such as cattle breeding, installation of a dairy factories, etc.

PARTICIPANT POPULATION: 2413 adults and 2012 adults, 598 and 639 children. A total of 160 families built barns for livestock and 528 families are benefiting with the implementation of improved pastures.
